Comparing transformer bushing manufacturers starts with the application: a high-voltage condenser bushing, a pluggable transformer interface and a low-voltage secondary bushing serve different requirements. This 2026 guide compares ten manufacturers or supplier groups using their published product information, with links to the relevant official sources.
How this shortlist was prepared: the entries below have public bushing product information and are arranged alphabetically. Inclusion is not a ranking by market share, quality, price or delivery speed. Trench and its HSP brand are grouped together. Product examples describe catalog scope, not approval for a specific transformer.
Publisher disclosure: ZeeyiElec publishes this guide and is included for its MV/LV distribution accessory offering. Its inclusion is a commercial disclosure, not an independent endorsement. Manufacturer pages were reviewed on 28 September 2026; confirm the current model, test evidence and quotation before ordering.

GE Vernova
GE Vernova’s official bushing portfolio covers AC and DC applications with OIP, RIP, RIS and other application-specific insulation systems. Distinguish transformer, generator, wall and GIS bushings when requesting a quotation. Ask for the relevant product family and its complete rating set rather than applying a headline maximum voltage to every design.
Hitachi Energy
Hitachi Energy lists RIS, RIP, OIP and non-condenser-core technologies, with a product selector for different applications. Its official RTKG/GARIP page identifies MICAFIL outdoor transformer bushings as RIP designs. MICAFIL should therefore not be attributed to MR in a supplier comparison.
Sistemas de energia Hubbell
Hubbell’s bushing portfolio includes PCORE Electric, Electro Composites and Reuel technologies. These brands cover different apparatus and interface needs. Start with the application and catalog number, then request the appropriate drawing, installation information and test documentation. A group-level product listing does not establish interchangeability between its brands.
Maschinenfabrik Reinhausen / CEDASPE
MR’s official portfolio presents CEDASPE porcelain, LV, MV and high-current bushings, as well as cable-box and regional-standard designs. Its published standardized range extends up to 52 kV. This makes its catalog a relevant starting point for distribution and industrial transformer interfaces; it should not be described as the owner of MICAFIL technology.
Nanjing Electric
Nanjing Electric’s transformer bushing page describes products for transformers and reactors across a broad rating range. Treat that as portfolio scope: ask the supplier to identify the exact insulation design, manufacturing entity, applicable standard, drawing and supporting reports for the offered model. This guide does not infer production volume or market share from the breadth of the catalog.
PFISTERER
PFISTERER’s CONNEX transformer and GIS catalog describes dry-insulated pluggable bushings used with a compatible device-side interface. The socket is part of the selection, so this is a system comparison rather than a dimensional swap for any conventional bushing. Installation benefits depend on the actual equipment and scope; request a project-specific method and schedule instead of assuming a fixed number of hours saved.
RHM International
RHM identifies RIF as its transformer-bushing insulation technology: a paperless condenser system using epoxy-impregnated fiberglass. It separately identifies HV DryShield for current transformers and wall bushings. These proprietary technologies should be described by their actual names, rather than labeling the entire range as conventional RIP/RIS. Request model-specific ratings and retrofit drawings.
Trench Group / HSP
Trench Group presents Trench and HSP together in its bushing portfolio. They are treated as one group in this shortlist to avoid double-counting. Compare the offered technology, application, replacement dimensions and service arrangements. The relevant contracting entity and factory should appear in the quotation; a brand name alone is not enough for procurement approval.
Yash Highvoltage
Yash’s current product list includes OIP, RIP and RIS bushings, high-current models and oil-to-oil or wall-through applications. Several listed high-voltage families cover 24–245 kV; rating limits differ by family. Confirm the exact voltage/current combination and applicable IEC or IEEE design instead of assuming every product reaches the same maximum rating.
ZeeyiElec
For distribution transformer projects, ZeeyiElec lists buchas de média tensão, buchas de baixa tensão e bushing wells and inserts. Evaluate these against the distribution interface required by the project. This offering should not be presented as equivalent to an EHV condenser-bushing portfolio. Request the proposed model, drawing and relevant test evidence with the quotation.
Choose the bushing family before comparing suppliers
Condenser and non-condenser designs: many HV bushings use capacitive grading, but not every transformer bushing is a condenser bushing. An LV terminal bushing or separable connector interface requires a different comparison.
OIP, RIP and synthetic dry insulation: OIP uses oil-impregnated paper; RIP uses resin-impregnated paper. Synthetic dry systems use other reinforcement materials, with terminology and construction varying by manufacturer. Compare the actual design and service conditions. Dry construction alone does not justify claims of unlimited mounting freedom, immunity to ageing or a guaranteed maintenance-free service life.
External housing: porcelain or composite housing is a separate choice from the internal insulation system. Specify pollution exposure, creepage requirements, mechanical loads and environmental conditions for the offered assembly.
Pluggable interfaces: verify the complete socket, bushing, connector and accessory combination. Similar voltage labels do not establish compatibility.
A practical manufacturer evaluation checklist
- Electrical duty: system voltage, rated current, frequency, insulation levels, overload duty and transformer application.
- Mechanical interface: flange dimensions, bolt pattern, tank opening, oil-end length, CT accommodation, terminals, conductor arrangement and sealing surfaces.
- Service conditions: altitude, ambient and fluid temperatures, insulating liquid, pollution, seismic requirements and mounting orientation.
- Compliance evidence: agreed standard and edition, applicable type-test evidence, routine-test scope and acceptance criteria for the offered model.
- Delivery evidence: drawing-approval milestones, manufacturing slot, testing date, packing requirements, shipping terms and quotation validity.
- Support: installation manual, storage instructions, spare parts, warranty terms and responsibility for field assistance.
Use the project specification and applicable manufacturer instructions for partial-discharge limits, dielectric tests and environmental corrections. Generic altitude percentages, contact-resistance limits or a single creepage value cannot approve every bushing.
Compare quotations on the same basis
Issue the same technical data and drawing requirements to each shortlisted supplier. Ask for a compliance schedule that identifies every deviation, excluded accessory and assumption. Compare the total delivered scope, including testing, packaging, installation support and replacement compatibility.
Lead times and prices are quotation-specific. This guide does not assign a universal delivery window or RIP price premium. Record when the quoted lead time starts—order placement, payment, drawing approval or another milestone—and whether transport is included.
For replacement work, obtain the original drawing and nameplate data before accepting an “equivalent.” A match in voltage and current alone does not verify mechanical fit, dielectric coordination or thermal performance.
Reliability references and MV/LV enquiries
The relevant CIGRE publication is Technical Brochure 755, Transformer bushing reliability (2019). Its published summary covers failure mechanisms, diagnostics and maintenance. It is a technical reference, not a certification or ranking of the suppliers listed here.
For MV/LV distribution requirements, send ZeeyiElec your nameplate data, required standard, interface drawing, service conditions and quantity. Request a model-specific proposal with drawings and supporting documentation. Use the same acceptance process applied to other candidates.
Perguntas frequentes
Service life depends on design, duty, environment, installation and condition. Use manufacturer guidance and condition assessment; this shortlist does not promise a fixed lifespan for any supplier.
